Story:

When Rubi Malone, a gun-for-hire, agrees to fix a wealthy man’s problem by finding and bringing back his wayward son, she thinks the job is going to be cut and dry. She thought wrong. The job turns out to be more complicated than expected and the man who hired her isn't who he appears to be.  On the run and looking for the man who betrayed her, Rubi is leaving a massive body count in her wake.

Now that we got basic information about the game out of the way, lets take a look at our experience with WET.

History:

We have got this game right after it was released on the 15th of this month. So we cant really be the first once to review it but cirtantly will try to give you all inside tips to it. We have spent close to four hours testing this game and just playing around with some of the features. WET is a third person shooter pretty much like "Devil May Cry" or "Resident Evil" series. As a fan of third person shooters and action adventure games, i'd have to say that i have an extensive knowledge in first and third person shooters.

Story:

The story of WET was written by the same guy who wrote the TV series 24, Duppy Demitrius. The basic story for this game is bases on the character by the name Rubi Malone. Rubi is a pretty much identical replica of Uma from Kill Bill. Equipped with guns, shotguns and swords, Rubi is a "gun for hire" which gets in difficult situations trough pretty much all of the game. She gets in a bushiness with a rich man who asks her to bring his son back from china. Things go wrong and well, find out yourself what happens next LOL.

Game play:

Game play is a third person shooter. It feels odd at times playing as a third person but not too too bad. I have played thirds person shooters before and A2M did a pretty good job capturing the movement of the character from each angle. There are few challenging moments in the game where you have to press the right button when a trigger comes out or perform a series of button combinations in order to dodge something or die. LOL FUN!

Graphics:

Graphics of Wet are not too smooth. Infact it feels like you are playing a ps2 version of a third person shooter game that has an improved graphics. Standing still without moving around, you can really pick up on some of the choppy angle or the textures. I strongly think that A2M should of spend a little more time on the textures. However everything leaves behind when you are playing in a high pace of the game. You forget that there are flaws and continue playing.

Audio:

The game is Rated M (mature) so do expect some foul language and of course violence. The game is very bloody and has alot of cool sound effects like gunshots and sword swinging. What makes this game fun is the story line. You play the game to find out more and more about the story and new characters with in the game. The speech and sound effects definitely do sound good.

So what's good about this game? WET is your typical third person shooter with interesting story line, fun moves and combo counter. WET give the ability to the players to upgrade their weapons and in the mean time follow very violent story. As you should expect from the third person shooters, and insane amount of gunshots and sword swinging. If you are in to that type of games, then WET could possible be a suitable match.

What's not so good about WET? We found graphics of WET being well below an acceptable level of performance of PS3. As mentioned before A2M could of spend more time on graphics. The fun factor of this game, well besides finding a cute monkey for extra points, there really isn't any.

Conclusion

WET is a a third person shooter and as every third persons shooters go you should expect some of the features such as shooting guns, knives or and sword fights. WET has is all. This game is highly oriented towards 17+ age as its rating is M (mature) so expect alot of blood, shooting and violence. One of the most violent areas of the game is the Rage mode. The Rage mode is a Red, Black and White mode where Rubi goes on on a killing spree to get trough the level. There are few parts of the game where you might find challenging moments but in my opinion it ads on to the game. Graphics of WET could be much better since it is released for PS3 and Xbox360. If you releasing the game for the hardware which has great potentials, why not utilize all of them?

Rating out of 10 Rating Description 7 Graphics The graphics are not too bad but could be better. They remind a better version of a game which would run on ps2. 8 Control The controls of the game are not too tough to use. A multiple combo moves are tough to perform at times but its a great challenge. 8 Music / Sound FX / Voice Acting Voice acting was very well performed but it seemed a bit to fake. Sound FX were limited but did sounded impressive. There are some soundtracks of the game, but i cant say that i like them much. 7 Play Value Overall game value is a solid third person shooter with alot of features which makes it a fun game to play. Playing this game for hours might not happen. 7.5 Overall Rating - Good Fun game to play for and hour or two.
