Now that we got basic information out of the way, lets take a closer look at BlackBerry Storm skin from XO Skins.

Overview

Storm Skin came in a nice and shiny box. The whole package was rather light and had scales on it. It feels odd to touch but yet not displeasing. There aren't any markings on the box to tell you what's inside, only XO Skins logos and the website url. I always say marketing is the most powerful sales man and this packaging really does stops the eyes.

The contents of the box are a pouch with the skins, squeegee, special application solution and instruction manual. Let me stop here for a second. Because you are dealing with the sensitive equipment which can be easily damaged, i strongly advise to follow these directions and TAKE OUT YOUR BATTERY. As you will see that you have to pretty much soak your phone with this special solution, i strongly advise to dry your phone very well or leave it dry for 2 to 3 hours. The instructions are pretty easy to follow but for un experienced user it might take some time to properly apply this skin.

The pouch contains 2 pages of skins, front and back. They are very thin and peal off from the waxed paper relatively easy. It looked like everything should fit right in. In fact when we have completed the installation, our Storm looked like there was nothing done to it. Everything fit perfectly. In order to apply the skin on the phone you would need to use special solution which is provided with in the package.

The best way to work with this is to dip the whole skin in the solution, let drip off some of the excess of the solution and apply the skin to the proper places. Don't expect everything to stick at that point. The solution requires to be dried up in order for your skin to stay put. This is the time to get out the squeegee.

The whole installation takes about 30 minutes, but i will have to tell you that it is worth it. So what else can this skin do? Well if you have some scratches already, the special solution with the right application of the skin can help you hide of them. This particular skin will help you protect your devices. We have not performed any crazy test like you might find here but looked at the overall skin condition and performance. I know some guys saying that you can take a power drill to this and nothing will happen to your device. Very true but what happens to your skin? Lets put it this way, if you do take a power drill to this skin, you will see the scratched on the actual skin however you will not be able to just wipe the scratches off like some other brands. Very impressive product. One thing left impression is that this skin is very thin and applies smoothly on the clean surface. We have followed the instructional manual and everything worked out great at the end. So if you are planning to purchase this skin FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!:) The skin took a while to settle in and get rid of all of the bubbles (about 10 hours) and in the end very much worth it. We have not experienced any problems with the touch screen or any buttons what so ever. My personal opinion is that this screen doesn't give you that greasy screen you would normally get with a standard screen protector. Over all the experience with XO Skins was very much pleasant and i would gladly recommend this to some one who is looking for a thin and easy to install device skin.
