There is something about computer cases that attract pretty much everyone. Just the other day I was working on one machine and some one came up to me and asked me what was the case and who made it. Without a doubt a right computer case will turn heads but do we really need it to be "special"? You bet! There is nothing like having a great case at lan parties believe me I know. We all need more storage so it seems. But just how much of storage to be exact? Some people think that the more the better. I would agree with that statement if only the price didn't play a big role in the decision. I am not talking about high end / server grade hard drives. Those for sure would be over the budget of 94% of users out there. Well what about the more affordable hard drives on the market? Today we are going to dive in to one of the oldest series of hard drives by Seagate, Barracuda. This particular version of Barracuda is oriented towards general population or Desktop Users and offers up to 3TB of storage which if you look at from a raw point of view is plenty for a gamer or photo enthusiasts. So what makes this hard drive different from all the rest? How about industry first 1TB per disk technology. Seagate was the first to design and implement this technology which in result lowers the cost of manufacturing and ownership of hard drives. Let's take a look at Barracuda Desktop Hard Drive as I am sure it will impress us.

Portal 2 is the sequal to Valve's unexpected 2007 hit Portal. The first portal was originally only available through a Half-Life 2 bundle - but the game got so much attention that it was eventually released as a standalone product in 2008. Portal 2 is a first person puzzle-platform game and was released April of 2011 for the PS3, Xbox 360, PC and MAC. The game is formatted like a first person shooter - however your only weapon - or better yet tool - is a gun the creates portals. It has two triggers - one that shoots out at blue portal and one that shoots out a yellow. If you go through the blue portal you will come out the yellow. A very simple concept that is turned complicated. The game is primarily a single player game but co-op is available through Valve's Network.

About a year ago we did a review on one of the newest technologies in the hard drives world. We reviewed Momentus XT 500 GB hard drive by Seagate. What made this hard drive different from others is that this drive is a solid state hybrid drive. Momentus XT 500 has a 4GB SLC NAND memory with 500 GB of hard drive capacity. The way SLC NAND is used, is that the hard drive caches off frequent used applications on to the flash partition and executes them when needed without having to access the 500 GB portion of the drive. Pretty cool if you ask me. You can check out the full review from our archives (Momentus XT 500). Today we are going to be taking a look at Momentus XT 750. Momentus XT 750 is a second generation of Momentus XT series which not only has upgraded capacity but also 6Gb/s interface with NCQ technology for better performance. Later in the review we will go over NCQ and Momentus XT 750 6Gb/s capabilities.

Happy 2012 everyone! Over the holidays, we have been receiving many products for review from multiple manufacturers.  Products starting from new towers, monitors, power supply units, video cards, motherboards, data storage products, and the list do not end here.  Today, I would like to introduce an old Taiwanese company Raidcom Technology, the company has been manufacturing computer towers since 1988.  In 2000, Raidmax was formed as another big brand in the globe, which gained popularity in other countries such as Europe, Germany, Asia, and now the USA.  As Raidmax grows, they have been adding new Power Supply Units and CPU Coolers to the product line.  Parent company Raidcom Technology develops multiple budgeted tower cases around, each uniquely designed for gaming specifications and style.

I currently have two tablets at the moment and like the portability of tablets. There are two major problems with tablets though, first, it’s always touch screen which means typing on the screen takes time to get use to where we aren’t physically comfortable typing on a keyless pad, unless, its screen is 9/10 inches in size and auto corrects spelling with the funniest corrections ever. The last reason is when I lay in bed using the tablet I just want the keyboard on my lap and screen in front of me, just as a laptop would perform. Instead we use the tablet on the lap which is continuously straining staring down or simply just tired of staying in the same uncomfortable position over time. Time and time again, I look into the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer which comes with an actual keyboard. Now might be a tad late for some people to look into since the tablet already has been purchased.
