What is UMLan? A lot of people wonder what it is and where it came from so here is small background information about UML. In December of 1999 four people got together and invented an online Counter Strike clan/league. The point of making one…. there really wasn't any point. We just wanted to have fun and play Counter Strike. The clan part grew to be just shy of 20 members and the league part consisted in 6 clans. So what does the UML stands for then people ask. UML stands for United Morons League. I know this is a strange concept to conquer but this is what it was. We all were young and wacky and the name just sort of stuck to us as we all grew up. As time passed by UML slowly started to fall apart and at one point just died however, it never died in our hearts!

Just recently UML started to pick up once again but in a slightly different direction as before. Now we are UMLan! (United Morons Lan). Why the name? We wanted to keep the originality and the tradition of our league. Not many clans survive out there and not many leagues make it to the top like OGL.

Ok so UMLan, how is this different from any other associations? What we want to do is to form a community among gamers. We do believe that social community and gaming does come together at one point. The passion for gaming could be very strong and we want to bring that together right here at UMLan.

So you do reviews for multiple companies? Yes we do and we are proud of it! We bring all the up to date information to our readers. In our reviews we are trying to concentrate on performance and accessibility of a product. We want you to read our reviews and figure out for yourself that a particular product would be beneficial for you or not.:)

Are you guys a profit or none profiting organization? We are a non-profit organization. We have no intentions of making money or scam people in to something that we do not promise.

So yeah this is all great, how can you afford all this? Who is paying for the website and such? Well to tell you the truth we are all paying this from our own pocket. If you would like to donate any amount of money, (even .40 cents) please email the administrators to help you.
